  • Account Information: When you sign in using Google or Microsoft authentication, we receive your email address and basic profile information to identify your account.
  • API Keys: If you generate an API key for programmatic access, we store a hashed version of this key associated with your account.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Local Storage Data: Your preferences, custom cities, theme settings, and strategy templates are stored locally in your browser. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly export it.
  • Calendar Data: If you connect Google or Microsoft calendars, we temporarily access your calendar events to display them on your timeline. This data is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not track your browsing history or behavior outside of our application.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third-party advertisers.
  • We do not use cookies for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Authentication: To verify your identity and provide access to features like API key generation.
  • Calendar Integration: To display your calendar events on the timezone dashboard.
  • Service Improvement: To understand usage patterns and improve our service (in aggregate, anonymized form only).
  • Security: To protect against unauthorized access and maintain the integrity of our service.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: Most of your settings and preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data remains on your device.
  • Server Storage: Authentication tokens and API keys are stored securely on our servers using industry-standard encryption.
  • Data Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: For authentication and calendar access. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft OAuth: For authentication and Outlook calendar access. Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
  • Nager.Date API: For market holiday information. No personal data is shared with this service.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access: You can view all your stored data in the browser's developer tools (localStorage).
  • Deletion: You can clear all local data by clearing your browser's storage for this site.
  • Disconnect: You can revoke calendar access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account settings.
  • API Key Revocation: You can revoke your API key at any time through the Design Portal.
  • Export: You can export all your settings using the Export feature in the Design Portal.

7. Data Retention

  • Local browser data is retained until you clear it or uninstall the application.
  • Authentication tokens are retained for session persistence and are refreshed periodically.
  • API keys remain active until you revoke them.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
